The Renters Refuge Difference

Renters Refuge was envisioned after countless unsatisfactory and pressure-filled trips searching for apartments using local Chicago apartment finding companies. After repeated bad experiences, it was decided that Chicago is in need of a service that truly looks after its clients, instead of the commission.

At Renters Refuge we are committed to our purpose of offering an apartment finding service that does what others have neglected to do. We are dedicated to restoring joy and reward back into the experience of finding a new place to hang your hat. We offer an exceptional inventory of available apartments in Chicago’s most popular neighborhoods, presented by agents who are knowledgeable and informed of current market conditions.

The Experience

After you’ve seen one of our ads, talked to one of our clients, or met one of our agents you’ll be thinking its time to call Renters Refuge. Once you call our offices you will be paired with a designated agent who will be responsible for finding you your new home. While asking if you have pets and what your price range is, we may also ask you what your favorite car is or what you do in your free time. We swear, it is only our way of finding you the perfect apartment.

Once we have asked all the necessary questions we will make an appointment to pick you up and show you apartments you want to see; relax and have a drink. If you need same day service, no worries! Just ask. We can usually work in any appointment. On the day of the appointment we will pick you up any where within twenty minutes of Lincoln park. We will call you once we are outside and will be ready to show you some great apartments.

While on the road we will not use our cell phone and will stay attentive the entire drive. But don’t let that scare you away from conversation. We will show you as many apartments as we can within a 2-4 hour window. While looking at apartments, make sure to take as many photos as you’d like and write down any notes that will help you distinguish the unit later. If there is something that is missing, or that you don’t like about the apartment, make sure to tell your agent so they can help find the right place for you.

Once the appointment has concluded the agent will go over the units with you and let you know the specifics and if there are any pressing issues. We will never try to “push” apartments on any of our clients, we will inform you with all the necessary information to make a well-informed decision. We also do not like to see anyone lose an ideal apartment, so if you see something you like, don’t hesitate to take it right then and there. Someone may come by and take it the very same day, we see it happen at least once a week. But if you don’t find that perfect place the first time, we’ll continue to take you out until we have found your ideal place to live.
