Logan Square Apartments

Logan Square with its tree-lined boulevards and well-kept homes, Logan Square is one of Chicago’s most picturesque neighborhoods.  It is bounded by West Bloomingdale, Armitage and Diversey.  It is known for its mansion-lined residential streets and its active and diverse commercial districts.  At a certain time in history, Logan Square was composed of a Norwegian-American population.  With inexpensive housing, it became a haven for immigrants and working-class citizens.  Since then, Logan Square has continued to thrive and become a prime spot for culture, economics and real estate.  The neighborhood is now composed of a mixture of Latinos, African-Americans and Europeans.  There are over 100 restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bistros in this small area with every kind of cuisine imaginable.  It is a popular destination for Latino and European immigrants with its ethnic shops, boutiques and galleries signaling its up-an-coming neighborhood status.

Every September, residents and visitors come to visit the Historic Mansion Housewalk to visit century-old mansions.  The neighborhood’s culinary diversity could be sampled at the Taste of Logan Square every August.  The heart of Logan Square is marked by the impressive Illinois Central Monument, a 27-foot-tall stone obelisk with an eagle on top celebrating the Illinois State Centennial.  It is situated at the intersection of Logan Boulevard, Wrightwood Avenue, Kedzie Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue.  Logan Square is located five miles northwest of the Loop, Chicago’s business and government district.  CTA buses, the I-90, Kennedy Expressway and the “L” Blue Line are the major means of transportation to and from the neighborhood.  Housing options range from beautiful mansions to two- and three-flat brownstones.
