Rogers Park

Vintage homes and houses by the beach at affordable prices are only few of the many wonderful things Rogers Park has to offer.  This community is located at the far northeast corner of the city and has direct access to Lake Michigan.  It hosts an array of eight wonderful beaches and a number of parks.  Affordable courtyard and mid-rise buildings are located near the famous Loyola University for students and those interested in settling at Rogers Park. Multi-unit apartments, condominiums, Victorians and bungalows are also available here.  As testament to its cultural and economic diversity, more than 80 languages are spoken among this community’s 63,000 residents.  The Rogers Baptist Church has services in three languages every Sunday and is made up of immigrants from 21 countries, representing five continents.

Aside from its beaches, famous landmarks in Rogers Park include the mother church of the Jesuit Province of Chicago, the Madonna Della Strada Chapel.  Other than Loyola University Chicago, the Northwestern University is also found just a few miles north of Rogers Park.  Transportation is not a problem because of the “L” Red Line and Purple line stations that start and pass through the neighborhood’s proper.  For residents and visitors with cars, Lake Shore Drive is easily accessible.  Leisure activities are catered to by a variety of shops, Mexican record stores, Indian boutiques, Russian delis, several art galleries and coffee shops.

Local business owners and artists at Rogers Park are provided an avenue to promote each others’ skills through the power of networking by the Rogers Park Business and Artists Networking Group.  This group is open to all Rogers Park businesses, artists and residents.
