Chicago Downtown Loop Apartments

The Chicago Loop is Chicago’s seat of government.  This is where the movers and the shakers work.  If you work at Willis Tower, one of the numerous government buildings, or Chicago’s Board of Trade, then you ought to get an apartment in this neighborhood.  This business center is bounded on the west and North by the Chicago River, on the east by Lake Michigan and on the south by Roosevelt Road.  Famous landmarks in this area are Grant Park, one of the largest art museums in the United States, the Art Institute of Chicago and Roosevelt University, the Buckingham Fountain and the city’s newest crown jewel, Millennium Park.

The Loop is dominated by high-rises and skyscrapers and forms a notable skyline by hosting some of the tallest buildings in the world.  Chicago’s Downtown Theatre District is home to numerous hotels and restaurants.  The Loop also boasts of great outdoor sculpture including the works of Picasso, Henry Moore and Alexander Calder.  Its culture is further influenced by the existence of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Goodman Theatre, the Lyric Opera House, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the historic Palmer House Hilton Hotel.  It is the second largest commercial sector in the United States, next to New York’s Midtown Manhattan.

Transportation in this area is unparalleled, with five “L” lines, several buses and the Metra providing transportation throughout Chicago and the suburbs.  It is easily the most accessible neighborhood in Chicago.  Shopping is not a problem either.  The Loop Retail Historic District and the Magnificent Mile compete to provide the best retail stores and services in the city.  Macy’s department store found on Michigan avenue and other suburban shopping malls are also available for all the Loop’s residents and guests.
